A chance to return...

[A pause, along with the sound of water rushing behind him. Vincent has been coming to the Battle Dome ever since that announcement to go to the simulation of the place he wants to truly return to.]

I cannot help but still wonder what price will be paid for such a chance... and whether it's worth the potential risk.

[Not to himself, of course, but to the people and worlds involved.]

I suppose only time will tell for certain.

There are people here from my world... and some who have been here and since left.

Yes... and there is no apparent reason for them.

[That they can see. But the way that the experiments are often so random, he has to wonder if it simply is that random, for people getting pulled in and sent away.]

No reason, perhaps. Though... many seem oddly connected.

At times, connected people arrive together, or in waves... but there's no indication why it happens with some, and not others.

[Some people have been here for a very long time with no one, while some have a lot of homeworld people...]

Unfortunate but true. Aside from some of the connected people having ties to one or more single individuals, any reason I can think of is weak at best.

There's still a great deal we don't understand about their motives.

A fact that isn't likely to change any time soon, I'm afraid.

After all of these years... it's very doubtful.

Have you been here many?
