[He sounds a little growly, since Chaos is so close to the surface.]

A formidable task, to defeat these creatures. Unless... it's possible to contain them as summons once more?

[Sigh. He actually needs to contact her. :| But ~~stealing~~finding materia is her area of expertise, so it's not as if there's a choice. Not if they want something that could assist them greatly.]

Yuffie. Be watchful for summon materia.

[A while after that message, Vincent heads off to see what he can do... and unsurprisingly Chaos breaks through yet again. He flies around until he comes across none other than Odin charging along on his horse. Chaos swiftly descends to attack. ...hard to tell who's the summon and who's the human here, isn't it?]

[Terra's likewise in her non-human form, whens he comes across Vincent-as-Chaos. The Esper isn't known to her, but she's caught between wanting to help Vincent and trying to help the Esper, somehow. She knows the destruction can't be allowed to continue, but....the Esper woman hovers, hesitating.]

[Chaos is completely absorbed in his battle, roaring with fury and then flying downward to strike at Odin with his claws. Odin counters with a mighty throw of his weapon, which very nearly impales Chaos. As he's darting away to avoid that, he catches a glowing pink flash...]

[Terra remains at the edge of battle. She's not sure Vincent -Chaos- wants the help, but at the same time, she can lend a little aid. Concentrating, she sends a Protect spell at him. That at least ought to be able to shield him from the worst of the damage.]

[Chaos growls and swerves through the air to avoid the next onslaught by Odin. He feels the boost in energy and is briefly confused by it- though somewhere deep in his subconscious is a human who has a clue what's going on. He just can't break close enough to the surface for the moment.]

[This time Chaos starts another attack, several skulls flying through the air and focused on Odin. But the mounted summon charges at the same time, directing a series of damaging slashes toward Chaos.]

[Terra's hesitant to use status effect spells. They're an all-or-nothing tactic, and sometimes, especially with the more powerful Espers, they just don't work. But, she has to try. Not wanting to get in the way of Chaos' offensive, she nonetheless casts Slow on Odin, hoping to buy Vincent/Chaos more time.]

[Chaos has to move back fast as he evades slashes from Odin, one of them lightly striking a wing. He roars in anger and again starts casting Satan Slam, the skulls rising in the air to target Odin. The attack hits the slowed summon with for strong damage.]

[But Odin isn't finished yet, and he again throws his weapon... this time aiming at Terra.]

[Well, that's what Terra gets for interfering. Her eyes widen as the weapon in thrown her way and she quickly swerves to avoid it, narrowly avoiding becoming an Esper kebab. She doesn't retaliate, at least not yet; this fight is largely between Vincent/Chaos and the Esper...but if said Esper pursues her, he'll get a Holy to the face.]

[BOTH the Summon and the demon are in a crazed state, neither of them concerned with who gets in their way. Chaos barrels downward again, claws slashing at the Esper with his Chaos Saber attack. Odin is more visibly worn out at that point... and it shows in the slowed motions of the rider.]

[But while Vincent as a human would stop to reason with the summon at this point, Chaos won't. In fact, he's preparing yet another attack to try and finish off the Summon...]

[...well, Terra can't let that happen. She's not about to let either of them finish off the other, if it can be helped. Therefore, she tries to see if Esuna will work, to snap them out of that crazed state. Otherwise, it's Stop time.]

[Chaos roars and strikes at the falling Summon. But he's not under a normal Berserk spell or anything of the sort... he was just made for destruction and revels in this rare chance to enact it.]

[...The Stop, however will be effective on them both.]

I'm sorry....

[She is, even though she felt it necessary. After that, she expends effort on healing them both.]

[Chaos struggles to move. His mind is in a turmoil since he's no longer actively engaged in battle, so Vincent is able to exert some more willpower. Which will probably be for the best when he can move again. Odin is also apparently done with the hostilities for the moment.]

[And Terra drops to the ground, reverting. She just can't sustain her form any longer. She doesn't cast Dispel on either of them, hoping the time will help them come to their senses.]

[And with some more internal struggling, Chaos finally loses power. With his own energy depleted, a dark cloud engulfs Chaos... and Vincent returns once more.]

[Once the spell wears off, Vincent removes a Summon Materia that he'd been holding onto and slowly approaches Odin.]

...Odin... let us join forces once more...

[Terra doesn't interfere this time, instead just watching them. If Odin's willing, that's their business and no other's.]

[It takes a moment but Odin eventually nods agreement. Vincent sighs in relief, but keeps the Materia in hand. After a moment he turns to look at Terra.]

...I suppose I should... thank you, for assisting in that battle. Chaos is difficult to control.

[Terra nods a little numbly, drained from expending so much power during the day.]

I know we have to defend ourselves against the Espers, but...they can't help the way they're behaving. Something about this place is agitating them and making them volatile.

[Vincent nods agreement.]

I've never seen them so unstable.

I want to help them, but most aren't listening to me. It seems only fighting can calm them down....

I've noticed likewise. [He holds up the materia he's holding.] Materia is useful to some extent, but... it's not enough. [And he can't seem to get through a fight without the monsters breaking through. The lack of power cap will do that.]

[She stares at the materia, then nods.]

There's still so many about. I don't know if they can all be helped at once, but if we don't...there might not be anything left of the village, soon.

At the rate they're attacking... there may not be, but... we'll do what we can.

[Terra nods.]

Do you want to work together? Maybe I can help you....

[Looks at her and then nods. She seems capable enough, and at this time he could probably use another fighter along. Particularly to hold off Chaos again if needed.]

We must ensure that their rampage ends.

...If I lose control while transformed again, I'll count on you to stop them.

I understand.

[Terra nods, solemn.]

Then we shouldn't waste time.

[Nodding once more to her, Vincent starts heading off to find their next battle.]

Too late, I already found one! [Two guesses on which one~]

Leviathan? ...Have you managed to control it?

[He doesn't know at this point if it is possible to subdue the rampaging summons, even with materia, but it's worth an attempt...]

Wow, good guess!

Sure have. Did you know it doesn't like it when you yank on it's tail...or wings? [It doesn't totally listen to her, but it's nice enough to stop throwing water at everything when she yanks on it.]

[Which else would it be, with Yuffie?]

I assume you learned that through experience. [He has frightening visions of Yuffie pestering Leviathan.] Then you were able to exert your will over Leviathan? Was it difficult to achieve?

[Knights of the round? ...No? It would be pretty awesome though.]

Noope. It tried to hit me with it's tail, so I grabbed it. [And it's not like she would hurt the guardian of Wutai, so she's lucky that worked.] Not really...it was more like training it.

[Knights of the Round would be an intense battle. Vincent doesn't wish that upon the village, but considering so many others are already showing up...]

I see. Your connection to Leviathan must have given you an advantage...

[Every FF person would have to be there to be able to control the darn thing...sadly..]

Maybe...I hope so! It's really cool to have around though.

[Yes, this. As epic as it would be.]

Leviathan's presence should aid you in further battles.

[Siigh. Stupid stupidly overpowered summons..]

Should! It would be more helpful if it didn't attack everything.

I don't know whether they can be subdued entirely, while in this state... but keep attempting to exert your influence.

[Enough focus and materia should work in theory. It's just unfortunate for Vincent he's having trouble with that 'focus' part, with restless monsters who like the lack of power cap.]

I'm gonna! Leviathan would be the best guard...snake ever!

[Does he want Yuffie to yell at them a little? They wouldn't WANT to come out after that...]

Which would be useful in a place such as this.

[In the middle of rushing through town, fighting off any zombies or other monsters in his way, Jay comes to a screeching halt as he spots Chaos and Odin battling each other. He has his dagger ready, slowly moving by, watching carefully in case either of the monsters attack him.]

Let the monsters fight amongst themselves...

[Of course he wouldn't recognize Vincent in his Chaos form...]

[Odin hurls his weapon to the sky, and it flies straight for Chaos, barely missing him. Chaos flies in and slashes at his opponent. There's a low growl from the winged monster as he's vaguely aware of another presence joining them... another living thing. The human is trying to hold him on course to attack monsters only, but it's hard to tell if Chaos can obey for long...]

[As Odin's weapon is hurled into the sky, Jay takes the distraction to move from his current spot, dashing to a random spot a good distance behind Odin. He keeps his hands in his pockets, ready to fight back if need be.]

[Chaos strikes Odin yet again, this time unleashing his powerful Chaos Saber attack. But the Summon responds with a powerful charge and slash at Chaos, who roars angrily as it hits.]
