[Vincent wakes to a room that's been fully redecorated into, as his AU so cheerfully described it, a 'palace of love.' The walls are pastel pink, and along with a wide array of flowers, there are all sorts of sensual things placed strategically around. He groans upon recalling the past week. Then he pulls his hair out of the ponytail as he looks around a room that would put the Honeybee Inn to shame.]

[As he opens his journal, there's a good view of his lovely new surroundings. Then his scowling face comes into the picture.]

My behavior last week was inexcusable, although the Malnosso are technically at fault.

Regardless, to anyone I spoke with... I apologize.

[Vincent then starts the process of de-beautifying his room, taking away some of the tackier ...items... that he ended up having there. He can be seen wandering to and from his place as he seeks to strip away the memories of his AU self. He's basically throwing all the things into a big pile far enough from his building, for Galian to burn when he's ready.]

Yes, that's true. I'm half-esper...at least, when not affected by such an experiment. I always wondered what it would be like to be an actual Esper...and I guess, now I know.

That would be a unique perspective... to have no trace of humanity at all. Although it's not anything I would wish upon anyone permanently.

It wasn't bad--the Espers aren't evil people because they lack a human perspective.

Being one, thinking like one...it was just different, that's all.

I understand... They're not inherently evil, only different. [He doesn't blame them for their rampage earlier either, since he knows what that's like to be uncontrolled in his monster forms.]

But attempting to coexist with humans in that state must have been difficult.

It wasn't difficult, it was impossible. Maybe if the leaders of the Empire hadn't been so bent on conquering, we could have learned to coexist. But we never really got that chance. Greed for more power kept getting in the way.

A similar fate happened to an Ancient race of people on my world as well. That insane quest for power... appears to be universal on all worlds.
