The line between monsters and humanity is... thinner than I assumed.

[Vincent is heading off toward the forest. He walks quickly, with a great deal of intent in his stride, and his expression. It's made a little less dramatic by the fact that he's still mostly covered in pink dye, despite attempts to wash it off. But after the events of the draft, and then coming home to Remnants going crazy, he's still battling with the inner demons. His only consolation is that they're not as powerful in here.]

[Once he reaches the forest, he takes on the form of the Galian Beast, running around in hopes of letting the monster have some release while (he hopes) staying well away from people. Do you bother him anyway? Y/N/MAYBE]

[...And is that a tinge of PINK in the large wolfy beast's fur?]

You know the whole 'language' thing was a big development. You may have heard of it. Err, that's assuming you can talk?

[Oh hey, it just slashed a tree, James is looking at those claws with some rather large oogly eyes]

[Galian grunts in the negative, and stares at him with eyes that are definitely more intelligent than a monster's should be... although there's also an impulse to chase and hunt that's getting to him at the moment.]

Oh.. well that sucks. [He sidles over ~~trying to forget about that 'curiosity killed the cat' thing~~]

So why're you ripping holes in the trees?

[Mostly just for the sake of destroying something! Although Galian can't explain that verbally, he'll flex his claws with a growl.]

[Aaand he'll now charge toward you!]

[He goes pretty damn bug eyed at that, this guy looks like one tough customer... and he has almost no fighting skill whatsoever... frack.

In response he quickly changes form into something like a jungle-cat and dashes off in the opposite direction] Holy crap!!

[Now THIS is more like it! Galian runs after, reveling a bunch in the thrill of the chase.]

Awww, fucking hell, figures I find the crazy beast guy looking for something to eat, FUCK!

[His fur shifts to a rather subtle forest green mottled with brown, his body starting to blend in perfectly with the surrounding area, his legs lengthening slightly and his frame thinning slightly as they do so, his speed increasing abruptly. His top speed hitting just about as high as the Cheetah's from Earth]

[Galian especially lives for the hunt. He keeps his speed steady as he goes along. Of course, the only problem is that he can't keep control for too long... and that time's drawing thin if he doesn't get to sink his teeth into something soon. So he forces himself to keep going, although this creature is giving him quite a challenge.]

[He flings a fireball ahead!]

[...Is that... fi-] HOLY SHIT!!?!? [James dives to the side as the fireball goes rushing overhead]

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!? [This guy wouldn't give up! He makes a beeline in the direction of the village, hoping for some help to show up]

[He's a fierce monster who's meant to run, and hunt and kill, but he's stuck most of the time in SOME HUMAN'S HEAD- that's what's wrong with him! A roar and another fireball in response!]

[But Galian's pace is gradually slowing... and his grip on the outside world starts slipping. A faint darkness begins to surround him.]

GODDAMN! [Leaping into the bushes and taking off at a different angle now]

WILL YOU STOP IT WITH THE FIREBALLS ALREADY!? [James is starting to breathe pretty hard himself, but his body is made for running.. at the moment anyways, and he's got quite a bit left in him]

[Galian growls, a very strong NO for that. But this time, he thinks he's got a better chance at targeting him in a different way. So while his time in the physical realm is coming up fast, he goes for it.]

[The Galian Beast takes a HUGE LEAP right toward James... and unfortunately (or fortunately!?) that's the moment when the cloud of darkness overtakes him and he morphs back to human...]

[James turns his head as he hears the whistling air of an approaching BEAST-O'-DEATH!] OH SHI- !!!

[But he doesn't quite kick off in time and they end up in a heap of spiraling limbs and darkness exploding in all directions as THE BEAST turns back into a human]

[Which must be a very bizarre image, indeed, all together, with Vincent's cloak especially spread out and tangled around them. He sighs deeply and reorients himself to the outside world. Then he becomes aware of vague memories of what's happened...]

[He attempts to start disentangling himself.]

...I apologize.

[Sort of lying there stunned atm now kthnx]

................what? [ O_O ]

[This... probably makes no sense whatsoever. It's become such a regular thing for Vincent to be so abnormal, and to be around people used to it, that he'd almost forgotten what this could be like.]

That beast was not under my control. I apologize for his actions.

But it was... you? [His ears perk up] You can transform?!

[A serious nod is his response.]

That's great! [His fur explodes into a brilliant sunshine yellow and his body abruptly changes into something like a rather overjoyed looking human-housecat-...thing]

I haven't met anyone else here who can do that! I mean, ahaha, it's just.. awesome!

[Vincent eyes him with some interest. He's reminded of Nanaki, in a way...]

It can also be dangerous. When I transform, I lose control.

Yeah I noticed... [He rubs a slightly singed patch of fur with a wince]

Gotta say that your beastie is definitely more bad-ass then mine.

He has his uses, when I'm better able to reign him in. [Vincent watches him, wanting to assure himself that he didn't inflict damage too terrible.]

Is this your... natural form?

No. Well.. I mean... [He sighs] From now on it's my 'natural' form. But I'm supposed to be human.

[James reaches up and tweaks on his ear, his paw running over the missing tip with a little miffed 'humph'] It tends to bite me in the ass when people find it interesting.. [He looks down against at the burnt spot on his clothes and fur, then back up at Vincent] You didn't hurt me, don't sweat it.

[Vincent raises an eyebrow. They seem to have some similarities...]

I know that feeling all too well. I was once only human, myself.

[He seems satisfied that he hasn't done any life-threatening damage or the like. Now is not the time to take on extra guilt.]

Really? I don't suppose you got genetically enhanced in some experiment or another did you?

[His ears perk forward curiously]
