It's been a trying time for us all. These events are far beyond my expertise to handle, although I've done all that I could. [A small sigh about that. This version still has his angst about the monsters, but he also has a way of distracting himself.]

In the meantime, while we have something of a respite... for any ladies who are lonely for companionship, I would be honored to provide that. To those I'm not acquainted with, I'm your resident Valentine. Vincent Valentine.

[Be afraid. Be very afraid. Vincent has actually combed his hair and has tied it back into a ponytail. He's also looking very... gentlemanly and polished overall, and has even set aside his old tattered cape for one that's in much better condition. He's in a mood to wander around town, so you can expect to run into him most anywhere today.]

Would you like to have dinner together? [He can't believe he hasn't asked you out on a date since that time at Gold Saucer! ...because in his version of events he went through the whole female cast, beat that, Cloud.]

...You can cook? [Pfft, she doesn't believe that. And she's only agreeing to this because it could end in more laughing....she hasn't been able to laugh this much in FOREVER.]

When I was studying to be a detective, I took a few culinary courses on the side. There's no better way to a woman's heart than a man who can actually cook a meal. [Vincent will do anything to get the ladies. ANYTHING.]

As long as I won't die from eating it, I'm game! [She's hungry anyway.]

Of course not! I'm a perfectly good cook. Shall we go there now? [Vincent reaches to try and take her hand.]

[Haaha, that's not going to work, but she'll follow him anyway. Fully prepaired to see a building catch on fire by the end of this.]

[Leading the way back to his place then! Once they get there, it will be evident that this new Vincent has been... re-decorating. The whole place is lavishly decorated, even to the point of a little bit of overkill. There are all sorts of candles and flowers and various other things to make it a seductive... uh, paradise.]

Make yourself at home, darling. I can make something for us very quickly.

[Yuffie will be laughing pretty hard as soon as she walks in and sees all this....Annnd, immediately goes for the candy. ]

[Vincent knows Yuffie as being cheerful and the like... but he's definitely surprised by how much more she's laughing lately!]

Is there anything in particular you're interested in? Perhaps some Wutaian cooking?

Of course I could. I took some advanced cooking classes.

[Along with other classes that would help him get in touch with the ladies... flower arranging, interior decorating...]

It won't take me too long to whip something up for us.

It's funny you don't remember... I used to do most of the cooking for us all when we were traveling together.

[Please excuse her while she's dying of laughter on the nearest chair.]

W-well it wasn't Cloud that's for sure.

Certainly not... You know, I tried a few times to give him advice about picking up women, but, it all went unheeded.

[Stirs things up as he talks, always happy to reminisce.]

Ah, Tifa... [A wistful sigh. What man could forget the beauty ~~and well-endowed chest~~ of Tifa...]

Well, it took him some time to figure that out. He could have played the field a little before he finally realized what he wanted.

[Stir stir stirring the food. It's all starting to smell surprisingly good, better than anything the regular Vincent could have concocted.]

And well now, that's surprising. He can bet she's watching him extra carefully just in case he really IS screwing with her, and decides to put something bad in there.]

I suppose you have a point there. [Sigh, time to drop another crazy bombshell.] But Cloud was right about one thing, all along... he was right to fight against my son. I only wish I could have been there for him all along, to prevent what happened.

[Mixing stirring, mixing, that ought to be close to done now.]

[S-silence...WAT?]

[Vincent is just starting to serve up their meal, glancing toward Yuffie as she's gone quiet. He's almost afraid to know, but...]

Are you all right, honey? Anything I can do for you? A back massage later, perhaps? Was it... something I said?

[If she were not so shocked at the moment, she would SO agree to that back massage dammit.] I'M fine, but s-son...[..Sephy?] B-but you did.
