It's been a trying time for us all. These events are far beyond my expertise to handle, although I've done all that I could. [A small sigh about that. This version still has his angst about the monsters, but he also has a way of distracting himself.]

In the meantime, while we have something of a respite... for any ladies who are lonely for companionship, I would be honored to provide that. To those I'm not acquainted with, I'm your resident Valentine. Vincent Valentine.

This is just the company and distraction he's needed.] I'm a detective where I'm from, involved in supernatural research. But really, all work talk is so dull, so I won't bore you with too much of that. I'm a Libra, and I'm fond of long walks and picnics, and I enjoy meeting new people...

I'm afraid I don't know what a Libra is, but I do know I enjoy taking walks and picnics, as well. Meeting new people is enjoyable, especially meeting people like you. ♪

Oh, that just means that my birthday is in the autumn. Such a scenic time of year, really, but then I can find beauty in all the seasons. [Though it's also a very good thing he hasn't used the cheesy 'what's your sign?' line to start.]

It sounds like we have some things in common already. I'd much rather enjoy being around other people than to be alone! It's so much more enjoyable.

I certainly can agree to that, Anise. We can take more walks like this, and perhaps have a picnic lunch sometime. I'm sure we'll find plenty of ways to occupy ourselves.
