It's been a trying time for us all. These events are far beyond my expertise to handle, although I've done all that I could. [A small sigh about that. This version still has his angst about the monsters, but he also has a way of distracting himself.]

In the meantime, while we have something of a respite... for any ladies who are lonely for companionship, I would be honored to provide that. To those I'm not acquainted with, I'm your resident Valentine. Vincent Valentine.

[Be afraid. Be very afraid. Vincent has actually combed his hair and has tied it back into a ponytail. He's also looking very... gentlemanly and polished overall, and has even set aside his old tattered cape for one that's in much better condition. He's in a mood to wander around town, so you can expect to run into him most anywhere today.]

[Vincent again looks baffled when she laughs, and then looks briefly at his clothes, to ensure that there's not a spot on them or anything ghastly like that.]

...but I always speak like this, and I always wear these clothes. Although, it's a peculiar thing, I recently noticed that so many of my cloaks were awfully tattered. [Which is bad for picking up the ladies in.]

Nooo, you don't. You've never called me anything but Yuffie up until now...and what about your hair then? [And the other cloak was cooler to hide in though..]

But I've always called you by whatever term of affection strikes my fancy. Charming ladies like you always bring out that side of me.

I've always worn my hair up, it looks much better that way, don't you agree? [He looks a little troubled by all of this, really.] And... I've always been nothing but polite to you and the other ladies in our company. I apologize if I ever offended you.

Nope, I like it better down. [~~It looks cooler that way.~~ And please excuse her while she cracks up laughing again.]

Well, then, maybe I'll take it down for you sometime. What are you doing tonight?

Tonight? Absolutely nothing.

Would you like to have dinner together? [He can't believe he hasn't asked you out on a date since that time at Gold Saucer! ...because in his version of events he went through the whole female cast, beat that, Cloud.]

...You can cook? [Pfft, she doesn't believe that. And she's only agreeing to this because it could end in more laughing....she hasn't been able to laugh this much in FOREVER.]

When I was studying to be a detective, I took a few culinary courses on the side. There's no better way to a woman's heart than a man who can actually cook a meal. [Vincent will do anything to get the ladies. ANYTHING.]

As long as I won't die from eating it, I'm game! [She's hungry anyway.]

Of course not! I'm a perfectly good cook. Shall we go there now? [Vincent reaches to try and take her hand.]

[Haaha, that's not going to work, but she'll follow him anyway. Fully prepaired to see a building catch on fire by the end of this.]

[Leading the way back to his place then! Once they get there, it will be evident that this new Vincent has been... re-decorating. The whole place is lavishly decorated, even to the point of a little bit of overkill. There are all sorts of candles and flowers and various other things to make it a seductive... uh, paradise.]

Make yourself at home, darling. I can make something for us very quickly.

[Yuffie will be laughing pretty hard as soon as she walks in and sees all this....Annnd, immediately goes for the candy. ]

[Vincent knows Yuffie as being cheerful and the like... but he's definitely surprised by how much more she's laughing lately!]

Is there anything in particular you're interested in? Perhaps some Wutaian cooking?

Of course I could. I took some advanced cooking classes.

[Along with other classes that would help him get in touch with the ladies... flower arranging, interior decorating...]

[Yeah. People mistook him for gay a lot.]

It won't take me too long to whip something up for us.

It's funny you don't remember... I used to do most of the cooking for us all when we were traveling together.

Certainly not... You know, I tried a few times to give him advice about picking up women, but, it all went unheeded.
